 Head Instructor

Born to Christian medical missionaries, Sifu Hsuen learnt about the value and power of prayer early in her childhood.

She first began learning martial arts at the age of eleven under Master Jae Young Kwak. At fourteen, she was introduced to the world of "qi" (energy) by her uncle, Sifu Danny Xuan.

As she continued her martial arts training, she also began formal studies in meditation at age nineteen under her first teacher, Lama Jetsun Yeshe. She was subsequently sent to study with other pre-eminent teachers and was trained concurrently in the Rosicrucian and Sufi traditions from 1991 to 2002.

In 1996, she met Dr Wei Zhang, who introduced her to Yan Xin Qigong. Subsequently, she also had the privilege of meeting Dr Yan Xin. In 1998, Sifu Hsuen had the honour of studying under Grandmaster Helen Xiao Rong Wu. In 2000, she received further training through the Shaolin teachings of Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit.

Sifu Hsuen is grateful for her current/past teachers and positive influences, some of whom are: Sri Ramana Maharshi, Grandmaster Helen Xiao Rong Wu, Grandmaster Simon Hu, Grandmaster Ju-Rong Wang ("Tai Lao Shi"), Dr Cheng-De Wu, Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit, Sifu Jean Lie, Sifu Wenqi Li, Sifu Leslie Swan, Sifu Danny Xuan, Master Jae-Young Kwak , Dr. Wei Zhang, Dr. Yan Xin, Dr. Zhi Gang Sha, Master Chunyi Lin, Ven.
