The president of 'Joy & Freedom - Japan', and Master Instructor of J&F, Sifu Yumi Honjo is also honoured to be a certified instructor of the Shaolin Wahnam Institute. 

She first met Grandmaster Wong in Dec 2000 in Malaysia. Sifu Yumi's main teacher is Grandmaster Wong. She has also studied with other eminent teachers such as Master Jean Lie, Master Helen Wu, Master Simon Hu, Coach Ming Liang Zhang, and Master Emiko Hsuen. 

She competed in the "11th World Grand Wushu Festival - 2012" in Shanghai, winning several medals (including gold). Her main base is in Kawasaki City, though she frequently travels to other cities throughout Japan (Wako, Kagoshima, Fukuoka etc) to spread the authentic Shaolin arts. 

Sifu Yumi is authorized to disseminate the Shaolin arts (as taught by Grandmaster Wong of Shaolin Wahnam Institute), and the Internal Energy Arts (as offered at Joy & Freedom International, head by Master Emiko Hsuen).
