Sifu Murakami, the vice president and Senior Instructor at Joy & Freedom - Japan, is also honoured to be a certified instructor of the Shaolin Wahnam Institute. She began intensive training with Master Emiko Hsuen in September 2004.

Sifu Mutsumi has also studied with her Sigung (Grandmaster Wong), Master Jean Lie, Master Helen Wu, and Coach Ming Liang Zhang. 

She competed in the "11th World Grand Wushu Festival - 2012" in Shanghai, winning several medals (including gold). 

Her main base is in Setagaya City, though she often combines forces with other instructors to travel throughout Japan to spread the authentic Shaolin arts.
